It's a very tangible thing. Obviously He's not here PHYSICALLY, but His presence has been with me ever since I trusted Him for my Salvation. We commune together. He directs me. He comforts me. He gives me joy even in times of great turmoil; because He reminds me of His promises and that He is in control. I'm continually learning to trust and depend on Him more and more. He has never let me down; although, in all honesty, He has baffled me on more than one occasion! While I could NEVER claim to fully understand everything about His Faithfulness, (I've only known Him 17yrs); He is always there for me and has carried me through some devastating situations. He truly IS my "friend who sticketh closer than a brother"!

God is not with anyone. God the father is in heaven along with His son Jesus. And a multitude of angels. If anyone is with anyone it is angels sent from God. This is according to scripture. God the father has never personally dealt with humans, only God the son Jesus. In the beginning it was Jesus and than he came in the flesh, after he Left earth he sent angels.
This is according to scripture. Read and pray for understanding.
Your salvation depends on it.

When my father was going through a rough time during my Childhood, he turned to God. Once he was praying with a Silver Rosary. After completing it he opened his hands to discover the Rosary had turned to Gold. This was a sign. He needed it at the time. God decided he needed it and deserved it because he was being tempted to make bad decisions, but instead of giving in he turned to God because he knew what he wanted to do was wrong.
You don't need a sign to know God is with you. If you have accepted Jesus as your savior and yet still asking such questions you need to study the Word and pray. Talk to God as a friend. Have a personal relationship with him. Even admit your doubts and that you truly want to know he is with you.
You could say something like, "God, according to your word it says you are always with me, living in me(Holy Spirit). I am having doubts. Please help me know you better so that I can know you are with me just like your word says."
Also my Grandmother has a picture that her Grandmother gave her. They had taken a picture of a christmass tree and when the film was developed it came back with Jesus' face right in the camera but yet can still see the tree.

When my father died, I had a long road trip ahead of me to drive home. The rest of my family was coming later, but I just really wanted to be with my mother and sister and get home. I was exhausted from crying and the shock of learning of my father's death. I prayed to know if I should make this road trip alone, and got my answer. All along the road there were signs, no pun intended, that God was with me, and guiding me, and comforting me.
Most often I feel God near when he sends someone to help me along the way. We can all be answers to someone else's prayers.

God is with us all the time. In everything that we do. He is in the space surrounding us. He is in our thoughts. He is everything. Not one experience can I name to you - but I can tell you this. He is with me now, typing this question.
