No one can tell you to turn to one or the other with no information about your eyes. Have yourself evaluated by an optometrist first. Not all types of vision are candidates for Lasik (must the same in both eyes) and not all eyes are candidates for contacts. For those with differing vison, for example 20/25 in one eye and 20/30 in the other, there is another, nonsurgical procedure for vision correction.

I have worn contact lenses for roughly twenty years and I have never had any complaints. People think I am lying or completely abnormal when I tell them I wear contacts seven days a week and twelve or more hours a day. Because I have been happy with contacts I have never really looked into Lasik.
If you do consider Lasik, get a referral from a doctor you trust. Do not go to one of those places who advertise in the sports section for $500 per eye.

If you have the money for it, I would go with Lasik surgery. I have a friend that did it and he said it just felt like haveing a piece of grass in your eye for one day, then the next day he was fine. Contacts are a pain in the butt...I know because I am to broke to get the surgery so I have to wear them.

start up out with contacts or glasses. Lasik could look eye-catching now, yet while your eyesight has only in the near previous started deteriorating this is going to probable worsen in the subsequent 5-10 years. in the adventure that your eyesight gets worse after lasik then you definately will ought to get glasses or contacts. additionally, there could be area outcomes to eye surgical treatment and that's extremely costly, so except you're legally blind i might wait.

I personally can't stand contacts, but I'm the type of person who can't keep myself from blinking when something goes in/near my eye....so, for me, it's nearly impossible to put them in. I'd say, test out contacts for two-to-four days and see how you like them. They're much cheaper short-term, but you'll have to keep buying them for life - Lasik is a one-time thing.
There is obviously a bit of risk with Lasik, but I don't think there's any real danger at all. I think it's worth it- saves you the hassle of putting little discs in your eyes every morning, and taking them out at night.

Lasik....7 years...no regrets...almost the best money ever spent...
Still can't believe how much better life is without glasses (I live on the coast...can wear goggles and see underwater without having to worry about losing my contacts!)

If you can afford it, I'd go for the surgery. And I think they have payment plans too. Matter of fact, you have just inspired me to contact a friend of mine about it to get more information as she is a business office manager for an eye clinic...hmm...

I would go with the new SOFT contact lenses which have the
highest water content such as Kontur Sphere lenses. You will not be able to feel them on your eyes and can be left in overnnight without them clouding!
