if you're not having problems on XP... I wouldnt suggest rushing out and getting Vista yet. Let them work out all of the bugs first.

Windows vista is a alot more stable OS -

The recovery options are a lot better than XP

It looks good and it is very easy to find anything that you want

The trouble shooting is Good as well

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE

It is very system heavy - If you go for the basic (No AERO) - you min specs need to be CPU 800ghz - 1gb Ram - 20 GB for the install and 15 GB free

If you go for the other options like Ultimate etc the specs go up and you will need a good graphix card

ALSO - as it is a new OS some of you old periherals may not work on VISTA - ie printers etc etc

ALSO - some software may struggle -especially games

AND ----- No more fixmbr - No master boot record - yipee

AND !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It has just been leaked that Microsoft are already in the process of creating a update patch for VISTA ------------- ALREADY ------------------
So there is going to be bugs in this Version of Vista

It gets released on Tues > wait a while and see what bugs show up

Don't download it. If you want to find out about how Vista is to use - go to a computer shop, such as PC World. Think about the time you would save installing the software and disrupting everything else on the computer. Then if you decide you want Vista, you would be in the right place to get it.

Well first off, you really can't download it. Perhaps a beta, but you have to pay for the real version, and ,like that other guy said, I'm sure that it has a lot of bugs in it. I'm not really sure of how much Vista costs right now, but I'd say it's around $300-$600. I would suggest to just wait for it. I mean, XP isn't all that bad right now to me anyway. I'd just wait on it. Anyhow, how were you planning on downloading it anyway? Isn't that illegal? Just wondering.

Just like anything, you hear good press and bad press! Download it and decide yourself whether it suits your needs or not. Don't forget the press always have a hidden agenda and an axe to grind so you will never read an unbiased report.

Another overblown operating system from Mr Gates and Co that will no doubt want loads of memory , loads of disc space and crash every 5mins until it's sorted.Just what we need.
