It could be a UTI. They usually clear up in a couple of days but if the pain's really bad, your doctor can give you a prescription to help.

There could be some type of caustic chemical in your urine that a urine chem test cannot find. If there was something wrong with the ureter or urethra, like open lesions, then the basic test would have showed blood. Go talk to your doc again. It could be a acid or base imbalance in your kidneys and (you may say huh? to this) but also your liver. But it sounds like something that a good Urologist or endocrinologist could treat successfully.

Hello,
Can't really be to sure as you never really listed important information.
So my guess (And only guess) Not enough water, sweating and not washing the private area right to get that salty sweat out of greases. Not wiping proper after a bowel movement, or after intercourse. Even having bubble baths and not getting soap out of those ares can do this.
You did say urine test was negative- Home test or at doctor's office? If at doctor's what did doc. say about the burning sign?
Sandra

Could be a number of causes. Too much salt will make me burn, but that is short term. Genital herpes can cause burning more long term, with or without external indications. Since your urine tests came out negative it does not sound like a urinary tract infection.

Was it a urine test fromthe doctors office or an over the counter home test? The home test are not very accurate. It sounds like a UTI. Ask your doctor

a urine test only covers if you have a urinary infection and even then only a couple variaties. have a wound on the inside of the urinary tract? if so peeing with 'clean' urine won't stop it from hurting. have such and such infection and they don't test for it? then the test comes up clean even if your not. best bet drink cranberry juice and plenty of it. helps with urinary infections and is even helpfull for wounds (minor about the same as drinking extra water but hey it's something) if it persists for more then a couple weeks....get some medical advice.

What kind of urine test?

It could be an infection such as a urinary tract infection. You might also have an abrasion inside the vagina, due to rough sex or poor lubrication.
