I have been friends with this guy since last August and we've become pretty close. We go out, shopping, dinner, movies, we email and talk on the phone basically everyday - he even made sure to schedule his classes at the same time as mine. He invited me to go to a New Year's Eve party with him and even talks about us going out to dinner with his friend and his wife and about how much his friends will like me. However, we've never kissed, held hands, only hugged and when we go out to dinner or a movie, I always pay for my own. Additional info is that I am going through a divorce and he knows this so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the mixed signals or what. Anyway, I'm fine with this either way, just wanted some other opinions! Thanks to all who answer!

this is obvious to me because i have been in that situation. he sounds like a pretty nice guy. i'll bet that he is very interested in you, obviously, but also respects you. technicly you are still married so he is trying not to cross any lines that may ruin the progress that he has made, plus he doesn't want to cause any more problems because you have enough of your own. if you are interested, let him know, or even make the first move, that is all that you will have to do.

good luck

It definately sounds like you have a bond. Is there any passion? Without passion there is no point even trying to go there. You would only end up losing a best friend when you need them most. (divorce). If there is passion I think it is up to you to make the first move. Maybe you should have a few drinks first so that if he rejects you you can blame the alcohol, pretend you are embarassed and get back to this great friendship.

Good luck

he has a wife!!!! Is that really the sort of guy you want to date anyways? I mean, if he is into you would that mean he is willing to cheat on his wife with you? What comes around, goes around!
