The concept of gravity can be a simple or a difficult one, depending on how you approach it. First, let's review what gravity is. Gravity is the natural force that is exerted on any object by any other object that is matter, and pulls themselves towards each other. However, most matter is too small to create a noticeable amount of gravity, therefor it does not have to be round. I'm assuming you are talking about celestial bodies, which are large enough to create enough gravity for this purpose. Because gravity always pulls objects towards its center, the center point is almost always the densest because of denser matter sinking into the central point. The most stable shape that can accommodate this is a sphere, being that the amount of force gravity generates stays constant at its surface, and is why gravity makes things round.

spheres are the most efficient shape in a void, and a gravitational pull forces the outer surface towards the centre. this means that every part of the outer skin has the same force applied and therefore cannot become a cube. a liquid will find an equilibrium in the shape of a sphere.
and to the comment about pulling to the earth (Ruthie), we are not the only place to have the effects of gravity felt. it is everywhere in the universe you find a large mass. even we people have a gravity pull, but it isnt enough to attract us because the planets field is far greater. the bigger the mass, the bigger the pull. and its not about size, its about mass.

Gravity pulls things to the center of the earth. Due to the rotation of the earth, it is round.

Gravity does not makethings round. It makes things fall to the ground. It pulls things toward the center of the earth.

Water... Dripping from a faucet , slowly, forms round droplets... Is this gravity, from a Central core ... or, is it Outside 'Dark energy" pushing in ?

Well phrased, Mr. free. Actually the earth is oblong, not round.
