In my opinion it was quite excellent. I was surprised by the absolute numbers of dead and wounded. I was also very impressed with the bravery on both sides. It is also interesting to draw parallels to any war environment including Vietnam and Iraq. Oposition tothe war in the North was huge and Linclon was very unpoplular. He thought he would lose the election to McClellon (sp) right up until Sherman's victory outside of Atlanta only a few months before the election. Those brave soldiers like our soldiers today were true warriors, ordinary citizens who stepped up to do what they thought was right. Really makes you think about what people are willing to risk today compared to then.

I saw it, and nothing suprised me about the documentary, but it was very informative. All that info can be found in most High School History classes....
