When would a patient experience symptoms after eating improperly refrigerated tuna sandwich? Two hours? Five hours? More? The information I'm finding online seem to say "within 48 hours". Can somebody give me a more specific expectation? Thanks

It depends. How badly was the tuna contaminated? If conditions were such that the bacteria in the sandwich multiplied slowly, then symptoms of food poisoning might be mild and delayed, perhaps absent. If germs did multiply greatly, then symptoms would be more severe and occur rapidly. Most poisoning of this type occurs rather quickly, within two hours of ingestion, BUT it may take longer. Symptoms are nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes fever.

after 2 to 5 hours you will feel abdominal pain, this pain will increase step by step until you give diarrhea and vomiting, diarrhea may stay 3 to 5 days, with diarrhea you may have dizziness.
