i prefer the ring but just be clear on what u want it to mean to her.

At six months, if you're hellbent on getting jewelry, I'd go with the necklace. I know that if I received a ring at 6 months, I'd flip out.
(Besides, with the necklace you don't have to worry about ordering the wrong size...)

I personally like the necklace better, but I don't like to wear rings. And I the hearts add more meaning to it.
