Well 14 isn't that old...you have lots of time. And since I have a number of daughters I can tell you that guys aren't as confident as they may seem from a distance. Older guys are going to consider 14 too young. Guys a little older than you may just be nervous. And it may surprise you to know that some parents don't let their daughters date at 14. The answer is to just be friendly and yourself and make them feel comfortable talking to you. And you can always suggest doing something with them that will show you are interested.... or get a group together and invite the one you are interested to come too.

And probably the biggest help is to show an interest in him...there isn't a man alive who doesn't respond to it!...and as a Mom, I'll say...stay with dates around your age until you are older. It's much safer!

That has happened to me also. If you are beautiful, then guys can be intimidated. The right guy will come, you just have to wait. I don't think that you want to go out with someone who would honk and whistle at you like you are a piece of meat anyways.

Guys are afraid/intimidated by a good looking girl and most of the time they are too shy to ask you out. Be very friendly and take you time. There are a lot of idiots out there. You are only 14, give it a bit of time. Always have a big smile on your face and be very friendly, your new boyfriend is probably just around the corner. Take care Heather

Sweetheart, you scare me, I have a 13 y/o daughter and I hope to God shes not preoccupied with being a pin cushion, cause that's all you'll be to any boy/man who wants to date you. Be glad they don't want to spend time i lock up for statutory rape and focus your energy on school. Try getting attention by being the smartest one on the block, not the one most likely to get preggers by 15. As I tell me daughter, who is a very pretty girl, never sacrifice intelligence for popularity.

Maybe your unapproachable. Do you have an attitude? Be nicer to the boys. As far as getting honked at, that'll happen for many years to come.

my question to u is...why r/u so worried bout having a boyfrend? ur only 14, u probably dont even know what it means to have one. if u are beautiful, then just go ahead and live life to the fullest, u dont a boyfrend to tell u you look good. believe me, the longer u stay single the less problems ur gonna have in life.

if you are beautiful the guys are afraid to approach you because they are afraid of being turned down where as if you were not beautiful you would be more obtainable in a boys eye. besides you have plenty of time for dating, enjoy your Independence.
good luck

You are still young. Be patient and keep your mind focused on your school work. There will be more guys than you want coming your way in life.

well, your kinda young but maybe people don't know you are available maybe you are giving them the wrong signs. boys aren't that confident when it comes down to asking a girl out. but yea give yourself time. don't grow up so quick enjoy your youth.
