I assume you meant to ask "what does the dealer pay the manufacturer for new cars?"
About 10% less than what they quote as their invoice price.

Who cares? As long as you find a vehicle you like at a price you can afford and be comfortable with, what difference does it make? If a dealer sells a car at invoice they are making a little money. Dont they deserve to make something for spending their time with you? Or do you think they should work for free? Do you go to the grocery store and wonder how much they paid for a steak? If you want it and can afford it, buy it. If not, then find another vehicle.

Anywhere from $500 to $7000. Its a game buying new or used cars. I only buy private party. I think dealers are the lowest life form on earth. Parasites to man, along with Dentist, and Doctors.
