with this promise that i have to make with god i have to think of a ritual and a symbol also. any ideas would be a great help!! and just think along the lines of moses, abraham, and noah because that is what we are learning about ..Thanks!!

You have got to be kidding!
Apart from anything else, the essence of a covenant is that it is agreed and binding on both sides.
So how sure are you that you can sell whatever covenant you've cooked up to the living deity who represents the other part of the contract? Might they not have a say in what is good and bad, thruth or heresy?
(Not much of a covenant if there's no-one there to make it with)
Otherwise what ever you think you're doing, you're just talking to yourself.

Better make sure its something you really want to keep. your god will be very angry if you break your ritually sealed pact with him.
