To be a new dealer, you need to have several millions of dollars available to purchase a franchise, and the experience and credit to convine the manufacturer that you would be a good dealer.
To be a used car dealer, you follow the states guidelines on property, inventory, license, fees, etc.
If you do not know about the car business, then don't try to start your own dealership. You will lose everything fast.
Start by working at a dealership, learning the business, and then look at going solo.
