Love has many meanings in English, from something that gives a little pleasure ("I loved that movie") to something one would die for (patriotism, pairbonding). It can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love. Probably due to its large psychological relevance, love is one of the most common themes in art. The majority of modern movies have a love story and most pop music is about love

Love is when you care more for the happiness and wellbeing of another than you do for yourself. It's risking your life to save your child. It's giving your time to help the needy. It's being able to sacrifice gladly and without thought so that your partner can have.

In order to work in a relationship, the other person has to love too... or else you'll be the only one giving. But, when both people truly love each other, and will do anything for each other... that is the most rewarding relationship that anyone can have.

Love is a pure, divine, energy that anybody here on Earth, with the exception of a few like Jesus, and Maitreya, have yet to experience in their lifetime. I mean yeah, there is love between a woman and a man, but True Love is between a pure soul and his creator God.

Love is a principle; a rule of behavior that a person chooses to live by. Although feelings, emotions and passions are associated with love, these are not love itself.

Human love is changeable because it is primarily based upon feelings but divine love is consistent because it is based upon principle.

It depends on which word you are translating. EROS in Greek is the physical type of love. Phileo in Greek is a family type of love as "brotherly." Agape in Greek is The Kind of Love that God Loves with. Translated as Chairity in 1st Corinthians Chapter 13.
