Dan Brown did NOT invent the concept of a married Jesus, he simply repeated a `heresy` that is as old as Christianity itself. The DVC has left many avid readers yearning for more knowledge; great, but you will not find it in comic book form. To know more will involve some serious reading, far beyond the DVC genre. You should try something by Elaine Pagels on the Gnostic Gospels, research the hidden Gospel of Mark, some Judaic history, and all you can about Christian suppression of heretical thought . Even the often mentioned `The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail`, will require concentration and further research. Good luck. PS , yes he was married.

It is a FICTIOAL story, made up by an Author, Dan Brown...

The word theory has a number of distinct meanings in different fields of knowledge, depending on their methodologies and the context of discussion.

In common usage, people often misuse the word theory to signify a conjecture, an opinion, or a speculation. In this usage, a theory is not necessarily based on facts; in other words, it is not required to be consistent with true descriptions of reality.

True descriptions of reality are more reflectively understood as statements that would be true independently of what people think about them.

However, the correct use of the word - in science, a theory is a proposed description, explanation, or model of the manner of interaction of a set of natural phenomena, capable of predicting future occurrences or observations of the same kind, and capable of being tested through experiment or otherwise falsified through empirical observation. It follows from this that for scientists "theory" and "fact" do not necessarily stand in opposition. For example, it is a fact that an apple dropped on earth has been observed to fall towards the center of the planet, and the theory which explains why the apple behaves so is the current theory of gravitation.

Leonardo da Vinci, painted the Last Supper in 1498. the work was painted in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan.

less than 10% of the original paint on the face of John survives, because Leonardo used oil paint, instead of traditional fresco, and it fell apart in his own lifetime.

The refectory was badly damaged during World War II by Allied bombs. Leonardo's painting barely survived behind a protective bulwark of scaffolding and sandbags.

Ok, let be bust a few of your myths. In the book, The Last Supper shows 13 cups but no chalice: therefore, "oddly, Da Vinci appears to have forgotten to paint the Cup of Christ." This is not all that strange - other depictions of the Last Supper by other artists at this time have shown each disciple with a cup rather than the traditional "chalice."

The person seated next to Christ in Leonardo's Last Supper is clearly a woman. This is based on the figure's "flowing red hair, delicate folded hands and the hint of a bosom." Art historians disagree. They say it is John the Evangelist, who was "the beloved disciple" and often portrayed with youthful male features.

The Last Supper was thoroughly restored in 1954, revealing more details. The painting was recently restored, but Brown's dates aren't quite right - not until the most modern restoration techniques were applied after World War II was the process of decay halted. A major restoration campaign begun in 1980 and completed in 1999 restored the work to brilliance but also revealed that very little of the original paint remains. I am a painting restorer, and have worked with the woman who is currently restoring the work.

The positioning of Christ and "Mary" in The Last Supper purposely form a 'V' (representing the chalice or womb) and an 'M' (for Mary). Neither provable nor disprovable - 'M's and 'V's are easy to find in many classicasl paintings. The positioning of the figures in the painting are more about dramatic movement and aesthetic composition: the characters are grouped into threes.

It is not based on any fact. It is based on the book 'The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail' which is full of errors, distortions and inventions. Much of the so-called evidence it presents was debunked many years ago.
It has now been resurrected as a very lucrative book for gullible people.

It's fiction mixed with "intriguing" non-fiction. Many of the secret societies and other aspects did exist.

Did you know rat poison is 99.95% Good food and only .05% is poison. If it wasn't mostly good food than the rat wouldn't eat it.

This is how Satan or anyone else who wants to deceive or trick somebody does so. They mix in a little bit of the bad with a lot of good. The problem is that little part is the most important one.

You should be asking yourself Why do you want to find truth in a made up story? Also can you see that you thought it was a good theory based in facts. How many other people have a reason not to believe in God or to believe the Bible is inaccurate without looking at both sides.
