Some people write to find out who they really are. After a long day of trying to fit into a cookie-cutter society, it takes a few pages of open, honest writing to discover who you are at heart. I enjoy writing to help me separate my own opinions and thoughts from the barrage of information, polls, and media that hide us from ourselves every day. So, for some people, taking a few minutes to write allows you to relocate your values through a private dialog.
