How do you avoid looking at other people when standing still or sitting?

When you are in public and you know you are tempted to look at good looking people but you dont want to, What should you do?

Well, you could always take a book, newspaper or magazine with you to read. Then you'll be looking at the pages instead of others.

I don't think there's anything wrong with looking at attractive people, and I don't think there's anything wrong with looking at someone who has an obvious disability. It's good to be aware of your surroundings in case something happens.

In regards to the attractive people, just make sure you're not visibly aroused or wiping drool off of your chin when you look at them.

well, i would rather avoid being looked at, so you must be one of those people, when i am tempted to look, i look, i position myself and get comfortable, and look, sit inbetween the casinos in california, the Quechan Paradise casino, and watch the losers and winners and good looking dames and not so good looking dames go by, and go in and get a cup of coffee and come back and sit,and watch, go in and get dinner, and after dinner at the table,sit and look, then there was sitting on the bus and train, there are always good looking women who never sit with their legs completely closed, well, those were the days,nyc,is long gone a memory of the past for me ,i sit and watch

To be honest i dont care who feel or may not feel comfortable if i look at them. If i admire beauty i will look. Now mind you it wouldnt be no harsh stare to the point that i make that person uncomfortable but it would be once in a while glance, which is proper and allowed. Now if you so dont want to look their way then try to catch your attention at something else like cars moving, people talking, music, skies, wateva...You name it. But if desire is there then help yourself and look. Why the **** not, you know?

It all depends on where you are. If I am at the airport, drs ofc, etc. I take a book or grab a magazine to read while I am waiting. I like to talk, so I seem to be able to make easy conversation with others. It is really easy to do. Most of the time everyone else feels the same as you do, so they are glad to have someone to talk to.

Dark glasses is a starter, but it does not do it all. You are allowed to look at persons for a few seconds. After that it is staring and that is rude. But if you keep peeking looks at them you look geeky. So try having something to read with you. Even a business card. To keep your fertile mind busy.

why should you be afraid to look at another person? as long as you don't stare, a quick glance or smile at someone just shows that you are a friendly person.
if you supposedly don't want to look at anyone, well you're probably going to have to stare at inanimate objects all the time, because otherwise looking at other humans is pretty much unavoidable.

Why do you avoid looking at them? You can always smile sweetly or something. Radiate happiness and confidence, and you might be surprised about the positive responses.

Just keep looking. Don't stare like a freak, but take a good peek for sure. There is no harm in looking at someone... most of us have eyes.

Think about sitting down and talking with someone about the Lord, if you're a Christian. Recite bible verses in your mind if you have memorized some, or the words to spiritual songs and hymns. Think calmly, confidently, and single-mindedly. You don't have to look at people for them to notice you. If the Lord wants someone to talk with you, if you're a woman, they will walk up to you and ask to talk with you.

you can look, but do it just by slow sweeps of your surroundings. take mental snap shots, and if you really cannot control the staring, read a book/newspaper etc or play with your phone.

I dont suggest you close your eyes, or you risk getting mugged. be aware of your surroundings, without stalking the beautiful people.
