No there isn't any way to temporarily lighten dark hair, and you really shouldn't try to go more than two shades lighter than your current color on your own. Drugstore color kits in the blonde range should really be labeled "toners". They're great for changing shades of already light hair, but they don't have the bleach that will take very dark shades up to super light. There are drugstore bleaching kits available, but I highly advise you not to go this route on your own. It takes a lot of patience and a trained hand to get full all-over coverage, and it's really really hard on your hair. Your best bet, if you really think you want to be blonde, is to go to a salon for a color consultation. A stylist will talk you through the best process for your hair type, help you select a color and/or cut that flatters your skin tone and face shape, and help you create a maintenance routine that will keep it looking healthy and shiny. Here's a tip I learned from my stylist: typically when a woman wants a "drastic" change, she goes away happy with a color that's two shades away from her natural hair color. Also, a radical change in hair color often means rethinking makeup and eybrow colors. Going from super dark to super light is a commitment. It shouldn't be thought of as a temporary look, because it is often difficult to go from light back to dark again. If you want to play around, go to clairol.com's try it on studio.

No. You can go from light to dark temporarily, but not dark to light. In order to lighten it, you need to bleach it first which lasts quite a long time.
In the alternative, you can try something like Sun-In, which is a hair lightener.

dark hair has to be lifted to reach the blonde color.
Red is the hardest to lift which if you have dark hair - you have red in it...
You can have it professionally bleached - which is hard on the hair and then color it back when you are ready... It isn't the best thing for your hair since you are basically stripping it of the color for only a short period of time... how long is temporary?

do not assume it to bathe out in any respect. I used loving look after years in darkish and medium browns, I left it on for an hour or more desirable (too lengthy) and it under no circumstances ever washed out or lightened so I only had to colour my roots. the colour removers under no circumstances did an element for me both. it is complicated to get hair lighter, elementary to get hair darker. call some organizations like Clairol or L'Oreal to work out about non everlasting hues which will wash out. there is Roux colour rinse that you depart on after shampooing yet it is a weak tint that fairly does some thing and is messy.

use those dyes you can find at like walmart or something and start with a light brown then work your way up to the blonde you want.

No, you cannot. The only way you can go blonde is to hi-light (streak, foil, etc.), high lift tint, or bleach. None are temporary.
