Yes, I just had an allergic reaction to Allegra. I took the pill around 12pm at work on Wednesday and I started feeling like everything was changing. I had previously being the victim of a nasty rash around my neck and I assumed it was from an insect bite. So I scratch and scratch and spread it on the lower part of my chest. I was applying Benadryl, Cortisone10, and Gold Bond for itching. I was taking Benadryl, Claritin, and I even went to the Doctor and she prescribed me some antibiotic. Seven days later I started itching again and I decided to go to the CVS across the street from my job and purchased a box of Allegra. At 3pm I was sitting in Concentra Urgent Care trying to get something different for my rash because nothing was working. I was told I had a hour wait and I was being patient about the situation because I work for a Hospital. Two hours had passed and I went to the desk and told the receptionist I couldn't wait any longer. I opened up my shirt and her eyes got too big. She immediately open the door and told me to come to the back. My whole neck was blood shot red with whelps all over. I had tiny bumps covering my face and I was beginning to feel like I had a moustache and a beard. I was itching so badly until I could hardly speak without wanting to tear my neck off. I have never had a reaction like this before in my life and when I told the Doctor what I had taken, he told me I had a bad reaction to Allegra. I was given a steroid shot and prescribed a dose of steroid for the next 6 days and Zyrtec one a day. I must admit that I feel a whole like better than yesterday but I am still bump up and have a red chest with burnt marks over it. But the good thing is, I feel a lot better than yesterday, no more Allegra for me. I have taken Allegra before and never had this type of reaction from it. I was beginning to believe it was something else, until the Doctor told me that no it was the Allegra because you haven't taken anything else other than the antibiotic and nothing happen since 7 days since you started. So good bye Allegra, you have hurt my feelings and my skin.. Hope you get better soon and remember you must have a Steroid shot to help get rid of the affection.

Allegra is the best allergy medicine I ever took, and the one that took the longest for me to develop an immunity to, I was on it for years. I never experienced any side effects from it, but your experience may be different as you are a different person. I've been on Zyrtec for a week now and it's just KILLING me, all I want to do is SLEEP and I'm crazy moody. Allegra was never like that.
