Wow, you all are wonderful. BTW, Yes, I am sincere. My husband and I are about to graduate the School of Vision, and this is our last assignment.

Gandalf: Can you specify the contradictions you are talking about? That way I can do proper research.

I would discuss the world events and the threat that they has on the faith. You could use scripture to examine how this affected the society in which Jesus ministered and the outcome of those that kept their faith during some very trying times. One of my favorite subjects was the change of behavior with the 12 disciples and how they lost their lives because of their renewed faith after the Resurrection. Good luck and I hope your sincere.

How about this?

God is everything, God has everything, so why would he need anything?

He loves us infinitely - and this means: regardless of what we do, say or think and even regardless of IF we even believe he does exist.

Infinite love means, LOVE, unconditionally.

Yes.

As He is and has everything, are we able to hurt Him in any way?

No.

So, why would He have a reason to forgive us?
For what, if we didn't hurt Him?

And so He doesn't.

More: Free will.

Yes, we have it, just like He has it - He created us to His own image.

Free will includes no judgement, otherwise it would not be truly free.

No one does judge God, so He truly can have a free will, and no one does judge us, including God, so we too truly have free will.

Eternally.

Revolutionary?

Yes.

Makes you think?

Yes.

My ideas?

No, or mostly not, but I agree with them with my whole soul.

I would want to hear about how we are to love one another and a good example is how Jesus touched the leper man who were outside the walls of the city. He didn't have to touch to heal him, He did it to show that He was no better than him(even though He was the son of God). in this cold hearted world we need more LOVE in it. Good luck!

the prodigal son or the Good Samaritan, I must say there are plenty to chose from what age are you speaking to. sowing the sead or feeding 5000 ?? read all the parables and pray on it. I know the feeding of the 5000 is not a parable.

What any good sermon should be: Christocentric and with proper distinctions between Law and Gospel.

I like dbytz's idea. Just talk about what made you become Christian, or what aspect of Christianity made you want to join, or just your favourite part of Chrisitanity.
