He doesn't plan on winning. he wants a never ending war where his oil buddies can sneak oil out of the country and the defense contractors can drain the treasury by over billing with their no-bid contracts.

The thing that most people don't realize is that he has already won. Technically the war was over when we ousted Sadam. If your talking about the occupation we aren't fighting Iraq insurgents. We are fighting Iranian funded insurgants. So the only way to win would be to either tuff it out or kill about 50% of the people in Iran. Personally I would go with the later and kill 2 birds with one stone, but I think that because of the lack of republican support and democrat resistance he will only be able to do the first. Anyway the point is that regardless of what Bush has done any democrat would do it much worse. Cowardice doesn't cause terrorists to flinch.

noticing! He has already declared victory prematurely at least
once, so now he is intent upon re-arranging the deck chairs
on the Titanic until he can leave office proclaiming victory
is still within grasp. Nobody went broke underestimating the
intelligence of the American public...

there is no winning in iraq.bush's notion of a nation that is democratic and friendly to the u.s. is a pipe dream.the iraqi people hate us and if it were a democracy they would vote for al sadr not maliki.
