Well its supposed to pollute the body but once again thats just someone taking text and traslating it how THEY want it translated..FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT..Me I'm going with does it actually say that or..?? or is that just what they want me to believe...

also many christians will use that same line as to why they dont drink alcohol. Forgetting the fact that Jesus willingly turned water into wine and that being drunk is the sin, not drinking.

There prob. isnt anything in the bible in black and white about smoking because it wasnt popular back then. or maybe it was ?

it just wasnt a big deal because you dont have all these insanely crazy people running around using god and the bible to their own personal benefit.

There is really no christian link with smoking...some Christians smoke and are not against smoking; other Christians don't.
Generally, Muslims do not smoke and are against it...why introduce Christianity into everything? Why???????

Because our bodies are the temple of the Living God. We must not corrupt them. I don't smoke or drink at all, but many Christians believe it's OK as long as it's done in moderation.

It has something to do with the smoke. It all links back centuries and has very many different symbolic symbols. It's a little complicated but makes for interesting research. One clue is the smoke links its way to old pagan rituals and demon summoning very perplex subject "but is it not the same with every religious question and answer."

No where in the bible indicate that smokinging cigarettes is bad, and it wont send you to hell, but it will smell like you have been there. What it is is a addiction spirit that wants you to keep smoking, break them chains, smoking will kill a person and thats what the devil wants

Many are against it because the whole temple of God thing and don't want to defile their bodies or disrespect it. There are others that are against it because it is an addictive habit and we should all be seeking to free ourselves from the flesh, overcome self-gratification and desire (also a belief in Buddhism).

Its abusive to the body and its addictive. The writings of Paul would indicate that our body is a temple and that its bad to be addicted to anything.

We also need to watch the consumption of all things. Twinkies, chocolate cake, cigarettes, drugs, etc....

I wasn't aware that they were. My sister and her husband and his family are serious Christians and I know people in their family smokes, but they aren't allowed to drink.

My other brother-in-law's family, who are Jehovah's Witnesses, are allowed to drink, but not allowed to smoke.
