Can you explain to me why you think that it is ok for my brothers construction business to go under?
My brother had a construction business that, at one time, was doing very well. Then his competitors starting using illegals, paying $75 a day under the table, and started under bidding him since they were using such cheap labor.
Well long story short, my brother couldn't compete, nor would he be a sell out and do as they were doing.
Can you explain why you support illegals putting Americans out of business? When you say that those people have families to think about, do you not think of the families (of YOUR fellow countrymen) and how this effects them? Do you not care? What about what this is doing to HIS family and HIS children?
How can you justify supporting people that do this to other citizens of your own country?
This is a very true story and this is the main reason (although there are many others) that I am against ANY type of amnesty.

You are right...there is no relation between others using illegals and undercutting those that don't. UGH....why do I even bother with people like you?

I'm Anti-Illegal and feel very bad for your brother, but times are changing, sweeps are happening, deportations are at an all time high, and the fence is moving right along.

The "villains" in this situation appear to be the Companies that were hiring these workers (and our Government that doesn't prosecute them for doing it), not people who work for a low wage so that they can support their families.
I'm just not seeing what Amnesty has to do with this. In fact, give the workers these companies are hiring amnesty and they will have to be paid the legal minimum wage, taxes taken out and payroll reported. Wouldn't that mean your brother would be able to compete?
And I have to ask: if your brother KNEW this was going on why didn't he report this to immigration, the police, the people bidding on the contracts, anyone? And if your answer is "he did, but nobody did anything" I have no problem with your finding fault with that.
But I still don't get how Amnesty would hurt.

And add the May 2006 Illegal immigration protests.
Then inform your brothers they might want to consider filing a lawsuit against the town or city and county where they reside for failure to hinder and/or stop a certified act of terrorism in the form of the May 2006 "national" illegal immigration protests(if you had them). It's time to get serious with them. If you owe any of those ppl on that list any money or have accounts with them, you might want to consider putting the squeeze on them til the matter is resolved. Pay as you go for a while.

I think that this is really sad. Especially that people in this country are more sympathetic to those that do not even legally belong here. This isn't an isolated case. This is happening all across the country. Why do you think that towns and cities everywhere are starting to enact their own laws. Hang in there...they'll be gone soon.

I have seen businesses go out of business, including a few construction companies. I just can not see you saying it was because of illegals. There are many companies that WILL NOT hire someone that is not documented and still manage to keep business going, and going good. I am sorry but you can not blame everything on illegals. That is the problem with people they want to find someone to blame for everything.
~I do believe people have been hiring illegals for some time now. You have to understand I do not care what you have to say about me. I am not going to blame people for my problems, And I am not going to let people make others look bad because of their mistakes!

first of all i dont care about your brother, i dont know him, secondly its his decision to lower his bid and either pay his employees less or take a cut of his profit. Dont blame illegals for your brothers lavish lifestyle.
