aqueous cream is just as good as any fancy expensive hand cram - and it is cheap for a huge tub of it. You can use it instead of soap. you can get it in any chemist

I would like to say im sorry for your loss firstly.

I suffer from eczema and the only thing that works for it when im not using steroid creams is aqueous cream. You can buy a big tub for about £5 from a chemist.

Oilatum is a good brand for dry skin conditions, so it may be worth looking into buying a cream made by that brand too, although it will be more expensive than the aqueous cream. I use oilatum on prescription as well as aqueous. They work brilliant together.

May be worth a trip to the docs...................

After checking with your doctor that it is not eczema I would suggest really lathering your hands up at night with cream and put soft gloves on. Curel Continuous Comfort works well. Stress also causes a lot of funny things to happen. I'm no expert tho!

It sounds like it may be dermatitis because of where it is so maybe jsut make sure you wear no rings (they get damp under) and dry your hands properly.

Maybe try using talc all the time before trying medicinal creams. and then maybe try barrier cream to repel water.

Some people have said exzema. Exzema and dermatitis are of the same disorder but dermititis jsut means its not your body the problem but outside sources attacking it. (water, dish soap, talc in surgical gloves, etc)
