Long hair means past eye line. Personally I think its okay its there hair not anyone elses, but people keep going through saying to get a hair cut even though they don't. The majority of people that say this are parents worried about there childrens hair. So why should they care? Its not there hair!

Allowed not aloud. Their hair not there hair. That's just a start.

I have a 17 yr. old son with long hair. We discussed how some of society views long hair on boys. As long as it is understood that they may likely receive different treatment due to their hair length, I don't see any problem with experimenting with hair length. Not everyone is going to work in the 9-5 office world; long hair may be just fine in many workplaces. This isn't a tattoo or body piercing. It's one haircut away from conformity. My only rule was that when he is in the house, I don't want to see hair hanging in his eyes or over his face. His hair has been pretty long for most of high school and it hasn't seemed to have any negative impact.

I believe it is a question of personnal taste and if long hair are well taken care of, I don't see why not? After all some girls have short cuts too and this doesn't bother anyone but those who criticize everything and everyone. Often the haircut demonstrate a wrong image of the person and having long hair if not groomed ( LOL )... make the person appear not to be clean. That's probably why parents insist on having shorter haircut for their kids. Same goes for beards and mustaches! It suits some and doesn't for others. However it is nobody's business but the one person's. Mine are cut short but don't we have free choice in life?... And I respect other choices.

Of course! We live in a (somewhat) free country!
I say express yourself in any way you can...
I don't know if you're familiar, but back int he 60's and 70's, growing your hair out was a way to show your patriotism, to stand up, grow your hair out, like John Lennon's bed-in.
Hair Peace, Bed Peace. Do what feels right for you. You might look really good with long hair.

Whatever you feel comfortable with but be aware that in business most people will pass over one with long hair RE: long haired freaky people need not apply. Your image and how you project it means everything they say.

Funny thing happened in high school graduating from a Catholic school. The principal who by the way was also a priest said I needed to get my hair cut above the collar before graduating.

He said I needed to look presentable and I represented the school. So I asked him if he believes in Jesus and he said of course why do you ask. I pointed to the picture of Jesus on the wall behind him and said "and you expect me to cut my hair and all pictures even the one on the wall show Jesus with long hair, and you teach us to accept him"

In summary I did not have to get mine cut

It's your choice, guy or gal, to wear your hair any length and any style you choose. After saying that I can't understand why any guy would want the upkeep of long hair. Combing, brushing, washing, styling. I have short hair and I love it ... jump in the shower, one minute to shampoo, dry, shake your head and you're done.

it's always been the perseption for men to have short hair but particularly i like a guy with long hair as long as it's clean and in good health and stayed trimmed and styled regularly

I think that both guys and girls should be able to wear their hair any way they want to.

In fact, I think that allowing girls to have long hair but making boys wear their hair short is clearly gender discrimination and is simply not right.

When my son was growing up and had several hair styles and colors that where not my first choice I ultimately decided its just hair and he is the one wearing it!!! I had more important things to worry about than hair or clothes for that matter!!

Long hair on guys is the best. Come to think of it, short hair is also pretty hot.
