My cousin is marrying this guy because she is pregnant and because his mom is pushing for it. I know she doesn't really love him and I am trying to talk her out of it, but she is all about the traditional family, woman marring the father of her child and all that. I don't want her to end up miserable for the rest of her life. Should I keep trying to talk some sense into her fool head or should I butt out? How can I support her if I don't agree with what she is doing?

I don't think she is making the right decision either. You shouldn't marrying someone because of a child. They may end up resenting each other down the line. A child can still have both of their parents in their lives without them being together. You should still be there for your cousin though. She will need it.

Dumb! That's no reason to marry anyone, not in this day and age anyway! Keep trying to talk to her and show her examples if you can(like couples who are miserable that did that)! If you can't change her mind though, try to figure out a way to support her because she's going to need all the support she can get if she goes through with it!

if she doesnt love the guy theres no point in getting married..instead of putting the child through a divorce battle in the future she should get married. it will be so much more easy if they didnt get married. just make sure that the father is in that childs life and she wont have to worry about not have a real family for her kid. definitly keep trying.

It was DUMB to get pregnant BEFORE she got married! If she didn't love him she should not have been having sex with him! By the way... she needs to do what is best for the child now, not herself, not him, and not for you. A child needs a mother and father. Let God guide them and you just need to pray and support her, love her, and be there for her as she figures out her new life. Do you have to agree with someone to love them?
