If you have a valid insurance policy, and if your policy allows coverage for a permissive driver, your insurance is PRIMARY, your friend's insurance is SECONDARY. This means, if she wrecked your car and she is at fault, if a 3rd party has damages they will collect from your policy, and then from your friends insurance if your policy doesn't cover all the damage to the innocent 3rd party.

As the owner of the car, you and your insurance hold primary responsibility for any damages or injuries caused. Since he has insurance, his insurance will be excess coverage if your insurance is not enough to pay for the damages or injuries.

If you have collision coverage, that will cover the damages to your own car. If you don't, then your friend's policy may pay for the damages, but 99% of the time, they will not. Then you are responsible for the damages, but your friend should offer to pay.

Was your friend driving with your permission? Insurance goes with the car, not with the driver. Same thing for liability, your car, you let someone drive...you're liable if the insurance doesn't cover it.
