You should have respect for men in the ministry the Lord gave them. Pat Robertson obeys God.

He doesn't ask for money for personal use. He asks for money for the Lords ministry.

I always ask the Lord first if He wants me to give to a Christian ministry. I have assurance from heaven when it is the Lords ministry and He wants me to donate money.

No, you cannot ask for money for your own personal use. I don't watch Pat Robertson,, but I would assume that he is being paid a salary by the ministry that he works for. Most churches are not rich, some barely manage to keep their doors open. Most churches give away most of the money they receive. They use the money to help the homeless, starving people across the world, victims of natural disasters, and children's charities worldwide.

Go ahead(said with sarcasm).but it's not right and you will one day have to give an account for everything you do. I think that would qualify as taking the Lord's name in vain. There will be those that say Lord, Lord we did this in your name and He will tell them to depart for He never knew them. Even Pat Robertson will one day have to give an account of everything he's done in his life, including asking for money (and how that money was used)

You are full of it dude. Of course its wrong. When you give to Rev. Pat Rpbertson you are told what the money is going for. Air time, production expenses, feeding the hungry, supporting aid to disaster victims etc.

Just because you "think" that someone else does something does that make it right to repeat?? No, it doesn't. If you asked for money in Jesus' name and used it for your own selfish benefit, then wouldn't that be called lying in Jesus' name. I wouldn't attempt that if I were you, could only lead to more greed in people's lives and it could affect others as well, not only your pocket.

No, it is certainly not okay, even if a number of televangelists do it. We are not here to make ourselves richer through the church, but to preach the Gospel of Christ to the world.
