What did God have to be worried about? Read Genesis chaper 11.
And who was he talking to when he said "Come, let us go down, and confuse their language."?

He was worried the people would build a tower to Heaven and invade. The thought of Heaven being invaded by humans gave God the willies. Confusing their language seemed to work. Heaven was not invaded, and God was happy.

God never worries.

Once again the early stories of Genesis teach religious truth but not necessarily record historical fact.

The Bible story of the Tower of Babel is used primarily to illustrate man's increasing wickedness, shown here in his effort to create a city apart from God.

Instead of humbly praising God and acknowledging that all we are and all have are gifts from God, mankind is seen as becoming prideful and trying to make a name for himself.

I love the part where it says, "LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men had built." I can just imagine God stooping very very low and peering through a magnifying glass to see the tallest building in the world.

The secondary motive in the story is to present an imaginative origin of the diversity of the languages among the various peoples inhabiting the earth.

Like so many places in the Bible, there is also a play on words. Babel is the Hebrew form of the name "Babylon"; the Babylonian name, Bab-ili, means "gate of the gods." The Hebrew word balil, "he confused," has a similar sound .

With love in Christ.

they weren't on the fringe of attaining Heaven.... God only knew it grew to become into nonsense. people do no longer want a tower to get to Heaven. i be attentive to situations in the previous testiment have been distinctive, i def don't have each and all the solutions, and that i'm engaged on having greater of a sturdy commencing place with that, yet for now that's what i've got have been given... the Bible is fairly actual. it could be nonsense to easily have self belief area of the Bible. That'd be only silly, i've got self belief each and all the Bible. Which calls for faith, via fact quite some that's puzzling. however the folk tried to realize to Heaven so as that they might get glory. God merits each and all the attention, and he's not only a softy it is pleased with that. He grew to become into livid that folk might attempt to earnings each and all the attention that God merits. So he created distinctive languages so as that they could no longer communicate to end the tower

God had promised to not flood the earth again, so this is what He did instead. Divided the people by language. People were forming a powerful cult. Before the flood the sons of God left their celestial place and took women and made babies. This was cult at its worst. It prevented the Messiah born of the seed of the Woman to be born. God repented God made mankind and flooded the earth.

US is Elohim the Father, Word & Holy Spirit. I believe the Holy Spirit is the language divider. The Holy Spirit also gives the gift of a new prayer language to those born of God.

And in the age of Christ there is going to be one language again without the perversion. I believe the one language will be similar to the language before the Tower of Babylon. A combination of all languages without corruption.

He was not worried. But He is a jealous God who will not allow you to worship other gods. At the top of the tower or Zigoratt the people erected a temple for other gods. Us was the Trinity.

he was talking to angels when he said that. and it wasnt that he was worried it was that man was trying to reach god. it was the principal of the thing.

could look at it like a little kid, now a 3 yr old cant kick you hard enough to hurt, but if he does kick you u still have to punish him. not cause he hurt u but because he tried.

god punished them for trying not for succeeding.

He didn't want man to stay there, man disobeyed Him and tried to not spread out as He Commanded. He confused their language thus causing them to spread out.
