I am caring for a sick mother in my home. Can I file for head of household even though she is not a US citizen

Im pretty sure you can if she has been with you for six months but check with you local tax office and make sure or look this up in the IRS tax site.

Sorry, but no you can not, she needs a ssn in order for you to claim her.
