Hi, what a tough question ! From personal experience, the right person for you is typically someone you feel very at ease with;
For instance, avoid any kind of "love - at - first - sight - untamable - wild - maneater" girl, this is the best recipe for disaster !
The right person is someone you are obviously sexually and emotionally attracted to, but it should certainly be a Good Friend. If by right person you imply engagement and a lifetime spent together, you will probably go through tough times (diseases, financial troubles, family problems, etc), and these can only be overcome if you have a comprehensive and rock solid friendship with someone.
Some of the most famous couples that have remained together have often ranked friendship very high in their relationship: Tom Hanks: "My wife is also my Best Friend" for instance.
As a rule of thumb, if you have to "make yourself look good" for someone (hiding your bad habits, talking the way she likes, etc), this can't be right. But if you can be totally yourself and still feel the other is attracted and in harmony with you, this is the one.
Good Luck, never let a crazy love story destroy and consume you, you are an important person, as much as the one you love. Love should be a light and pleasant feeling that is equally shared by both partners.

It is not always about a sexual relationship to tell is someone is right for you. When they are right for you, you feel the need to be with them, and when you talk to them, you get a warm and secure feeling inside. You can see their flaws and accept them, and you can share everything with each other.
A sexual relationship does not mean that you are right for one another!

ur instinct will let u know. if ur always questioning urself bein with him or her and always havin doubts then yal arent meant to be. ppl are not perfect so fights are goin to happen. but when u ask urself, is this person worth putting up with and u answer yes and he feels the same towards u, then yal are meant to be.

Often you won`t know untill its too late. You have to be able to trust them. When you throw trust their way they will love you or deceive you. It is still my dream to find a good one. We can`t give up. I`m not ready to thow in the towel. Good Luck.

i know it sounds like a cliche... but i think you just 'know'. you can be yourself, and really trust the person. though there may be things that bug you.. you really just 'click' and don't feel like you have to compromize too much.
but then again, do we ever really find that person? i don't know...
