Toothpaste like Aquafresh - it is stripey on the toothbrush even if you squash and almost destroy the tube. What is the secret?

Watch the bbc2 kids programme Come Outside. They take a trip to the toothpaste factory and show you how the stripes are put in. Quite interesting.

the stripe sections are in a small pouch at the top of the tube. As you squeeze the tube the white paste moves up taking the stripes with it.

Probably due to the diifferent like chemical stuctures of each strip, so like some are lighter etc.

i dunno but remember seeing a representative for aquafresh on the big breakfast years ago that said its a big sectret special thing and even if you whacked the tube with a hammer, the stripes would stay intact....mental!!!
