Do any other step parents feel like the outcast?

I get along great with them, but it's like I am the odd person out. Any discussions are usually between them and their dad. I am not complaining, just wondered if anyone else feels this way too?

I have been with them for 7 yrs.

I feel the same way!! I'm stepmom of two (11 & 13), married for 3 yrs, with my own 2 year old daughter. They are not around enough for me to develop close relationship, & when they are around, it feels weird. They won't come to me for anything, so when dad is not around, they take it upon themselves to do whatever they want, as if I'm invisible.
