How do you reheat alfredo sauce in a way doesn't change it's consistency?

Pop it in the microwave even at loooow heat and it separates into mostly butter. Throw it in a pot on the stove lowest heat, same thing. Even adding a teensy bit of milk doesn't help. So... What's the answer?

Stirring constantly with a wire whip while heating it on the stove at medium. Or pour it over whatever you want to eat and bake 350, 20 mins.
