I got my boyfriend a goldfish, and bought a little fishbowl then put colorful rocks in it and a plastic tree thing, then on the outside of the bowl, made a cute little tag, that reads "your the only fish in my sea". It was a cute, thoughtful and cheap present that he loved!!

Depends on a few things. What does he like? How long have you been dating? (if not long, you could push him away with the mushy stuff) If he has a fav restaurant, cologne, hobby, sport, place to hang... use that as a guide.

Get him something thats in his interest. If he likes baseball than get him something having to do with baseball and a card. Guys usually don't like hearts and candy or a teddy bear, get him something that he'll really like and a valentines day card.

Easy,give him something he wud like to have and still doesn't have..like a guitar with a heart n ur name on it,in case he likes to play it!! or ..u gotta b more specific about his likings ,u kno?
U cn also tk him out to the place he really loves being to....
