Try a pawn shop. They are everywhere. If you can get the item appraised, some jewelry stores will buy gold from you.

Any Pawn Shop will buy it.

But you will not ever get what it is truly worth even if you go directly to someone that buys gold pieces.

There are Pawn Shops everywhere.
