No. The new testament rendered the old testament obsolete .... that is unless a Christian , in his sanctimonious posturing, feels the need to quote from it when it fits his intentions.

Leviticus isn't relevant but genesis is?!
It seems to me to be a religion of convenience.

Catholicism is all about that. Outside of dogma when something becomes to difficult for the sanctimonious Catholic the Pope makes the rules easier for them.!! LOL

When it comes to the "Word of Christ" The Catholics of yore deemed certain "Words of Christ" unworthy of inclusion into the bible of their new "religion" of masses control.

Today we are in the age of grace. The Law was only given to the Nation of Israel.and they have fallen and blinded because they killed the Lord Jesus Christ. All other Nations are called Gentiles and were never under the law. Romans 11: 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. Romans 2: 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: When the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins He did away with the Leviticus law. Colossians 2: 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

The new testament church was modern, all the Levitical Laws do not apply to the new testament church, founded on Jesus Christ. I think the Levitical laws, which are not from God, pretty well enslaved woman. The modern new testament church, would be like new cloth, ripping away from the old cloth.
Jesus well knew, the plight of women.

LEVITICUS

This book was so named because it treats of laws of service and worship of special importance to the Tribe of Levi. It has been aptly called "the Handbook of the Priests". Many basic precepts of the New Testament are foreshadowed in this book, such as the seriousness of sin in God’s sight, the necessity of atonement for sin, the holiness of God, and the necessity of a mediator between God and man.

JEHOVAH’S worshipers must be holy. This the Bible book of Leviticus repeatedly makes very clear. For instance, in it we read: “I am Jehovah your God; and you must sanctify yourselves and you must prove yourselves holy, because I am holy.”—Leviticus 11:44; 19:2; 20:7, 26. These laws were giving principles that can still apply today although the rigid instructions as far as sacrifices and such were leading the way to Jesus Christ and his ultimate sacrifice.
Witnesses of Jehovah today are not under the Law given by God through Moses, for Jesus Christ’s death did away with that law. (Romans 6:14; Ephesians 2:11-16) The judicial decisions next set forth concerning incest, sexual perversions and various detestable practices, including idolatry, spiritism, slander, and so forth, should also impress us with the need for holiness in worshiping Jehovah. Appropriately, the priests were to keep themselves holy. Among other things, regulations were set forth regarding the marriage of priests, priestly uncleanness and the eating of holy things.—Leviticus 18:1–22:33. Present-day witnesses of Jehovah are not living under the Law. (Galatians 3:23-25) But since what is said in Leviticus gives us insight into Jehovah’s viewpoint on various matters, it can affect our worship.
‘You must be holy, because I am holy.’”—1 Peter 1:14-16.

i'm no longer particular even if you're asking or putting forth your concept! As Peter so properly stated, prophecy is of no inner most interpretation, and that i also recognize that neither is speaking about the emblems of Our Lord Jesus the Christ.What i'm declaring is that there are 2 forms of human beings putting forth their concept, a million. those who're led by technique of the Holy Spirit and are noted as Christians and a pair of. those who keep on with their intelligence. in case you position your self on the scene of John 8,fifty 8. you'll come across that Jesus become prepared for a confrentation with the Jews. First, He become on my own and He didn't want to placed His flock in a negative position. The Jews surrounded Jesus because it become their way of instilling worry into their intented victiml. that they had already used this technique, at the same time as they turned around Jesus and demanded that He tell them who He become. Now if Jesus stated , i'm a being merely as you're a being, there might want to be no reason to hurl stones at Him. They earlier accussed Jesus of creating Himself equivalent with God, this become no longer new.very almost all Jews will purport that you may coach some thing by technique of creating use of the bible.In different words you cant deal with to locate reality without Theos. Why are there this variety of tremendous number of churces, isen't it because of human beings like you who managed to come across a following for his or her beliefs? the authentic nature of Jesus won't be able to be found in a grammar e book, no that isn't any longer how Moses and Abraham,ect. were given to understand the i'm, contained in the burning bush.The jews deny the miracles of Jesus and His Divinity. i become saved because i chanced on Grace contained in the eyes of Elohyim, there is not any incorrect way. when you're surprised with the translation of Eyheh.... i'm both surprised with the Watchtower's eliminating of the note worship. e.g. enable each and every of the angels worship Jesus, to obeiasance which in case you seem up contained in the Hebrew, you'll see also ability worship. The question isn't even if that is grammatically astounding. the authentic challenge is in case you recognize that Jesus is equivalent with the daddy, then you surely recognize that he's Jehovah and also you recognize that he's an same because the guy who spoke to Moses contained in the burning bush, for Jesus does no longer change, he's an same in the present day, the day earlier in the present day and continuously.

It's funny and sad how some people will follow parts of the old and new testamant that fit in their modern world and discard or simply avoid other parts of the Babble... I mean Bible.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Because they have allowed themselves to be conformed to this world which is not the way of God.

Dear Wolftone, we have to kep it in context, there are certain laws given to certain groups of people. These leviticus laws were given at that time for the preservation of the Jewsih people. The Levitical laws no longer applie, Howevr , by reading the book of levitius, we get a good glimps at Gods Holiness. That Glimps of Gods Holiness should lead us to reverance, which will lead to repenatce and faith in jesus christ.

For me, Levitucus showed me how much God cared for His creation. He made a provision for the Lepers to go to the temple to show themselves to the priest when they had been cleansed/healed. Only one man in the old testament was cleansed/healed. However there were many in the new testament that Jesus touched and healed. It showed me that God cared enough to make provision for them thousands of years before the actual event happened. And it reminds me to remember that God has provided for all my needs even before I am aware of them.
