No. The church is an imperfect institution run by fallible humans. God is holy and He is far too great to be limited by human institutions. If we seek Him, we will find Him, with or without the benefit of a church.

However ... finding a local church in which one can get together, grow and serve is one of the most important decisions an individual will ever make. It is a vital ingredient for the personal health and spiritual maturity of the individual believer. But the thing I love about my church is the thing I love about the God of my understanding: They always take us back. No matter how intermittent, inappropriate, irreverent or irrational I am, our church continues to embrace me and mine. That demonstrates to me in a tangible way the persistence and grace of God.

Arminians will tell you that church attendance, baptism, witnessing, communion, etc. are something of a duty, something we do for God, making this somewhat works-oriented although they will deny this, and if pressed, will tell you that no, these works are not necessary for salvation.. Your action in accepting Jesus is specifically required, but it is also not counted as a "work" that you do.

Calvinism approaches this issue differently. Church attendance, baptism, witnessing, communion, and other works are what saved people do out of the joy in their hearts. This makes Christ's commandments more of a "ready, set, go!" than orders to do something that they have to deny at a later point as being necessary.

It is not necessary but its good to church. In church you meet people with whom you can fellowship together and be accountable to. Also its hard to believe on your own because as an individual you don't have all the answers but when you join with others in praying and believing in God its awesome. In church you get an oppurtunity to share Jesus with people.
Church ain't that bad!! find the right one for you and stick with it..

No. Plain and simple, NO. God will save by His own judgment and it is quite pointless for humans to contemplate who will or will not be saved. A person who never has the Word preached to them, who has no contact with the teachings of Jesus Christ can, and probably will, be saved by the love of God.

BUT - we who have been exposed to His teachings will be held accountable for our lives and how we followed His teachings. Going regularly to church reinforces Faith, increases knowledge of His teachings, and greatly assists a person striving to be saved. We are not put here to be loners, to act without reference to our brothers and sisters; thus church attendance and the communal nature of the church assembly is an important part of a Christian life.

So - NO, you do not have to go to church to be saved, BUT IT SURE HELPS!

Contact you local Baptist church for details, and please have your credit card ready.

They can get you saved, and through a special deal they made with Jesus, that includes a guaranteed holy pass on Judgment Day. And the beauty of it is, you can still sin. No other church can offer you a deal like that. Not even the Catholic church.

It's not necessary for salvation, but it is necessary for the maintenance of one's salvation, for the Scripture says, "For how can they hear (the truth) without a PREACHER"? If we don't have the influence of a God-given ministry to help us understand and grow in our walk with God, then what are we supposed to do with salvation once we attain it?
