Well like everyone else I wonder why do you care what your parents think about it but if you are worried then get it in a place you can cover it up like your back or chest or legs(wear pants) get it done anywhere you can cover it up and go to the shop and pick something you like but make sure you will like it forever best thing to do is go look and when you find something you like leave then if after lik 2 weeks you still are dead set on that one wait a little longer then go back to look and be prepared to do it if you still like that one and always pay more then it costs because if you get a future one done the more you go the more the artists will fight to get your business since they know you arent playing around and tip good.

I see a lot of people suggesting UV tattoos, but check it out. The ink for UV tats is encapsulated in some kind of plastic. This is because the ink is toxic. Yeah... The FDA has approved its use along with some doctors, but remember this... breast implants made of silicon were approved too until they started leaking.
My next point is this... If you're scared of what your parents might say, maybe you need to wait until you're old enough to make you're own decisions and not worry about what other people say.
Mmmmmm?

If you are older than 18, it shouldn't matter what they say.
Even the if you get a discrete place tattooed, they'll find out somehow from someone about it. Trust me, I've tried hiding tattoos and piercings and it doesn't work and its not worth the trouble.
Just get whatever tattoo you want where ever you want. Good places are back and chest.

If your young enough to care what your parents say, your way too young for a tattoo! You have to be 18, if you are 18 and still worry about getting told off by your parents I think your not mature enough to get one just yet!

You can get tattoos that you can only see in UV light - may be a good option - your folks wont be able to see it, will be cool if you dont like it when your older but you will be able to see in bars and clubs when you are out. Then if you like it you can get a proper one when you give less of a stuff what your parents think but may keep you happy for now.

are you old enough to have a tattoo or do you just not want your parents to know you have one?
there are tons of places. i got one on my back between my shoulderblades and my parents didn't know i had it until i got married (3 years later) so your back, ribcage, upper thigh, chest. really anywhere that is always covered by clothing when you are around your parents.

my advice, don't get one until your over 18 and have a good idea of what you want.
its stuck on you for the rest of your life so think carefully. you don't wanna be 75 and have some of the suggestions on here...
