It could mean Hypothyroidism.Or your digital thermometer is off.Test every morning for 5 days keep thermometer under bed.Maybe try mercury thermometer.A temperature of 97.6 or less suggests Hypothyroidism but for 5 days.

97.2 is slightly low, normal is 98.6, but it isn't something to worry about, people have different base temperatures. If your temperature is normally 98.6 and your temperature keeps going down then you might want to talk to a doctor, but if 97.2 is your normal base, or it is just a strange fluctuation then I wouldn't worry. A friend of mine use to have a normal temperature of 99.7, all the time no matter what, but now it is 97.9 or so. People have different base temperatures but anything over 3 or 4 degrees from normal you should contact a professional.

sure its normal. that is a very good temp.When you go to nursing school, or excuse me, when I went to nursing school. they would tell you the norm is 98.6, but I have seen people with a temp at 95.5 and thats ok. So I believe anything over 99.5 is not normal. Hope this helps.
