1) I have never learned how to cut and paste.
2) I never took a High School debate class.
3) I use Scripture because that is what this Forum if For. You ask a Question of a Christian, and you'll get an Answer from The WORD of God, The Bible. The Bible is the Subjective bases for our Objective Belief.

The Bible is NOT a terrible source to quote. Who told you that?!

Now, if I am debating someone on which coffee tastes best, yeah...probably not a good source. However, if I am debating God's existence, the source of sin, the life of Christ, etc., then the Bible becomes my first and best source.

Because this isn't a high school debate this is debate about life and death.

The Word of God can speak to the soul and it is the sword of the Christian. The tool unmatched by any words of man. In fact all things are sustained continually throughout the universe by His Holy Word.

Surely the words of your nearest relative carry the greatest import. Surely the words of your Creator bring life like no other words ever spoken. It is the way of the Christian to bring forth that which has been spoken by God to those who have yet to hear and obey. Obedience is life. The commands given are for life not for bondage.

Your Father is the Champion of your freedom. Will you trust Him?

Well obviously since this is the R&S section and a LOT of questions are asked about the Bible, of course the Bible is going to be used. No one is going to quote from Home and Garden when answering/asking a question about Sports Illustrated are they?

Fortunately, for the rest of us, we know it is an excellent source for quotes.

Since the Bible alliterates the basis of our beliefs, why not utilize quotes from our source as a basis for a repsonse.

People want to know why and what we believe, we give you the reasons in quotes.

Because a person who believes that the Scriptures are the written word of God will do that when making an answer.........this is the religion and spirituality section of this site so it should not surprise anyone.

This isn't the High School debate forum. It is religion and spirituality.

The most popular religious book is the Bible.

That's why.

I don't mind single verses. It's the page-long stuff that irks me.
