11 years old?
well I should think about an hour... if theyre in a special program or something for "smart" students then it could take all night. that's what happened to me. when I was that age I spent a lot less time with homework than i do now. I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if it stays the same over years or lessens, I would work a little harder to make sure ur not falling behind.

Lol, in my opinion none. My school never gave out lots and lots of homework and what little there was I refused to do. I dont see a benefit in homework other than making kids resent education, writing, reading etc. There have been many educators who have recently come forward with theories that oppose the use of homework.

not as much as they tell u to. i wud say that at least 90% of all homework set in year 11 is pretty pointless. just make sure u take pretty good notes in class and do the important stuff (essays, exam practice etc). It's not until u go on study leave that u really need to start cramming.

As much as it takes to learn what is being taught. There is no set time to homework. Not in elementary school, high school, nor university. Homework takes as long as it takes to learn the subject at hand.

MINIMUM of 4 hours EVERY night - including Saturday and Sunday. This is the ONLY way of getting half decent GCSE results in the summer.

From what I remember, it was about an hour for each subject, 4 subjects a day, so usually 3 to 4 hours. Why, how much do you get?
