its a loosing battle if they dont really do something dramatic with the WOW Factor involved into the equation.

Malcolm,
My idea would be extremely brutal, but here goes;
A central processing unit controlled by gps and all other technologies that would send out laser guided taser shots to anything that it caught crossing the border.

Hey to think of it this would work in bank robbery situations too. The technology would be set up and bam take the robbers down immiediately. Or in liquor stores or other businesses that are prone to robberies.

That's not brutal, this is. Upon capture use implants such as dogs and cats have. These can be GPS monitored. They would never be able to sneak in again. Of course these would need to be surgically implanted under the skull to insure they couldn't be removed without a major cost factor. It just might work

Until our borders are sealed and secured, there will not be a "wow" factor. There cant be .Its just as you say,if you arrest and deport 100 then a 1000 more are coming in that same day.We must secure the borders before ANYTHING can be done to stop the uncontrolled flow of illegal aliens into this nation.
Our borders are like sieves and our Border Patrol has been hand cuffed by the BS with the 2 agents from El Paso.
We must do everything in our power to end this invasion of illegal alien trespassers.
The raids were a bandaid but at least they were doing more than they have been .I will accept all I can get at this point.

l. a. is about a 6 hour force from Vegas, and seven hours from SF. that's surely an truly good city with a lot to do, yet i do not recognize if that's properly well worth the force. i might want to somewhat spend extra time contained in the places you're already going. 11 days isn't some thing.

The raids in LA did what they were suppose to do.they pacified the people against illegal immigration.I personally believe it was all for show.It was done so that people would believe that the government is actually doing something about illegal immigration.I seriously doubt that if the government truly wished to do something about this problem that it doesn't have the resources to do so.But i'm guessing everytime they feel that people are getting ansty over this subject they will do some more raids.

The raids didn't amount to a hill of beans. Good for evening news but nothing else. Here in Las vegas they made a big deal about deporting a ms13 gang member. He'll be back in 2 weeks. Makes the evening news tho. LOL

It ain't the means ...it's the motion.
Baby, we be coming to get you!
If this continues, things will change. I don't think I would want to live in a world where I knew someone was always looking to come and get me, disrupt my life and send me packing or worse.
This is good stuff and we need more of it.

These raids focused on immigrants with a criminal record. So they did what was suppose to be done. As far as it being for show, I doubt the government gives a sh!t what we think.

Sending them back will never take care of the problem. They will be back in a few weeks anyway. Deportation is not the answer and never will be. Reform of the system and giving the ones here a chance to remain (even if temporarily) is the only way to tackle this problem head on. Family unity must come first though!!!!!!!

It put a little doubt and fear into the illegal's mind. It is nowhere near enough but it is a start.
