Question-- How can I make Irish Coffee in my home?

Irish coffee made with coffee, sugar, whipped cream, and whiskey.
INGREDIENTS:
2 teaspoons sugar, or to taste
2/3 cup hot brewed coffee
2 tablespoons Irish whiskey
whipped cream, sweetened if desired
PREPARATION:
Combine first 3 ingredients; top each cup with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

1) Heat the glass.
2) Make the coffee.
3)Put measure of whisky in glass along with sugar if desired.
4)Lightly whip the cream or use double cream.
5) Pour coffee over whisky.
6) Hold a heated spoon over tip of coffee and add cream slowly, letting it run down the spoon and into the coffee.
7) Serve and enjoy!
8) Sláinte (what we say in Ireland just before you drink it!.....means good health!)
N.B. Heating the glass is the most important part of this exercise!

Yes, I am drinking, as usual. Rum. The answers are all good for irish coffee, except that people are leaving out the most important thing. It's not "whisky" or even Jack, it's Irish whisky, like Jameson's. Have fun, cheers.

To make Irish coffee, do the usual pot, then add a shot or two of that Bailey's Irish Cream. That's usually what my friends do when they want it. Or just put a shot of Jack in it.

Well I'm on herbal tea (God that makes me sound old!)
Irish coffee = Strong coffee & whisky with sugar to taste then gently pour double cream on the back of a tea spoon so it floats on the top.

Yes, welcome to the weekend! For an Irish Coffee, just put a good shot of Irish whisky with your favorite coffee, and add canned whipped cream. Works for me!
