Saying anything means very little. He can be saying something you want to hear, or he may have other reasons that aren't in your best interest.
The fact that you are posting the question should tell you that you have significant doubt about him.
Don't dismiss those feelings. Watch his actions and how he conducts himself. That will tell you a lot more than any words he'll tell people he won't ever see again. Good Luck

Unfortunatly, yes, some guys would say and do almost anything if they thought they could get sex out of it. Also, he could be using you so he doesn't look like he can't get a girl. A third possibility is that he is trying to make someone else jealous. The big test is if he still acts the same way once you return from vacation.

Some guys would. Not all...but many will lie to get what they want from you and don't feel bad for dropping you like a hat after they get that. And it is typically sex that they want.

but don't jump to conclusions just yet.
test him in front of his friends/family. and others. (everyone.) does he call you his girlfriend in front of EVERYONE?? even when you are not looking? if yes, then he is your real boyfriend, and he is not playing you.
BUT, if the answer is no then he is most likely using you.

OMG, yes he would do that!! It has happened to me, he told me that he loved me just so I would do things to him, but thats all he did, he didn't acct like a bf at all
