My mom used to call them "liars bumps" (LOL) However, it's due to the virus you are trying to get over. Drinking acidic drinks (fruit juice) or having a virus will cause them. It's normal while a little painful they will go away on their own.

RE: i have a sore (maybe a canker sore?)on my uvula(hangy ball thing in back of throat)? It is VERY painful! I can't hardly eat or speak or sleep because it hurts so bad! It is white/grayish. TMI... it looks like a huge zit . I don't know what it is. I've never had anything like it before. It hurts really bad. Does anybody know what this could be, and how I can make it feel...

I've never had mono but it sounds like you migh have cold sores wich Im sure you can get from having mono and you can get them from having a cold too. Cold sores are a type of herpes you can swish some warm water with salt in it in your mout a couple times a day and it should make it better and go away.

Could possibly be from both but I suspect it might be from the antibiotic. Antibiotics kill both good and bad organisms in your body and can sometimes lead to fungal infections. There is an infection called Thrush that presents as white patches or sores in the mouth. It is common after antibiotic use.
I would suggest going to your doctor and having him or her check it out. If it's thrush it is easily taken care of with a topical medication. If it's not, then they'll be able to figure out what exactly it is :)

They are canker sores and they are painful. I have had them and I usually put peroxide on them. I use the peroxide about every 30 to 45 minutes. The peroxide will burn some but they will clear up eventually.

they're just canker sores. they're painful, but don't panic. you can minimize them by gargling salt and warm water. of you can just let nature take it's course and wait for them to go. then only last abou 3-5 days. becareful of certain acidic foods that may hurt you!
good luck!
you can always buy some over the counter canker sore meds!

They're canker sores. They are very very painful - they last about one week and it may or may not be related to the antibiotics - if you've never had them before it could have triggered them.
