No you do not have to have a Drivers License in order to drive in NASCAR or in many other racing series.

You go to your local NASCAR, ASA, IMCA sactioned track and I'm sure you will find drivers that are 14 years old (only because most insurances will not allow younger drivers).

Trust one of the people who say you don't need a state issued drivers license.

Some tracks allow drivers under the legal driving age to participate there. Some may have their own divisions, some may race with everyone else, but there are tracks where a 14 year old can race. I know Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, CA had the Jr. Hornet division for at least 1 year. It was 14 and 15 year olds.

They must only hold a valid sanctioning body racing license to be able to drive.

No, the only form of racing I am aware of that would require a government regulated license would be Rallying - as these often take place on public roads (and even when not, drivers often must drive the car over public roads to the different stages).

There is generally a racing license which is handled by the sanctioning body (FIA, SCCA, NASA, etc). As NASCAR is privately owned and sanctioned by the ownership group, there may not be a "racing license" exactly, but they would have the ability to tell someone they are or are not allowed to drive. But a valid, state issued license would not be a requirement.

Not necessarily. There are kids 15 years old racing in Pro Cup divisions. And if you start at 15 in low level divisions thatn you will probably have a drivers license by the time you get into the upper divisions such as NASCAR.

Not a government issued license, but NASCAR has a drivers license that is required to drive in sanctioned events.

well the drivers have to go to school before becoming race car drivers. I don't know if it's and actual license that they get but as with regular street driving you first have to be trained. If that amswers your question. They have to go to some university, as from my research.

Yes they do. They also have to pay for the license to drive in the race.
