My ex-girlfriend will not give me the space I need to heal...She keeps contacting me, and it hurts. Plus shes dating someone else, she keeps saying that she just wants to be friends, but she also says things like "If you think I wasn't in love with you when we dated, your wrong" and stuff like that...I know she wasn't in love with me because she dated this guy 3 weeks after she broke up with me! She'll tell me she missed me and stuff, and lately I've been ignoring her, is there something else I should do? Girls help!

Break ups are very rarely clean breaks--in other words, most couples tend to interact in some way after they break up. Both participants are forced to see the relationship in another light--no intimacy, no special inside jokes, etc.

For obvious reasons, you and your ex are feeling incomplete without each other, but in different ways. She is confidently dating someone new and feeling strong. You are hurt by the end of the relationship and need to be away from her to heal before you can amicably socialize with her again. If she doesn't get that, maybe you need to straight up tell her--"Look, you hurt me, moved on with someone else, and I just can't be around you right now." If she actually cares, she'll respect that and let you be. If she's selfish, she'll keep bothering you just to have your attention, and so you must escalate matters:

First of all, don't go out of your way to talk to her. If you run into one another, then be totally cordial, but don't give her puppy dog eyes. Next, turn your attention to someone new, like she did. Don't cry to this new chick about your lousy ex, even though it's on your mind. Just focus your attention on getting to know someone new, and before you know it, you won't be thinking about your ex for too long. And finally, if she still keeps bugging, there's only one thing you can do. Tell her she's ugly and you hate her, and she'll never talk to you again! Yeah, it's harsh, and probably untrue, but her reaction will actually be to LEAVE YOU ALONE!

It seems like she wants to keep you hanging around just in case the new boyfriend doesn't work out. Change your phone number or just ignore her calls. She'll get the picture after you ignore 100 of her phone calls. Good luck!

If you truly dont want to be friends with her then you need to cut all ties with her, whether that be phone numbers, email addresses, msn contact etc... and to the extreme any friends that are mutual friends.. before you cut all ties though dont just ignore the problem and bury your head in the sand.. itl just let the situation get worse.. tell her you dont want to be in contact with her and that you just want to get on with your life..
i think the relationship shes in now with the new guy is because shes on the rebound, its nothin personal she probably doesnt want to be alone.

Simple, find another gurl and ignore her totally. And 2- get your guys together and go hang out n act single and feel single again.
And next time she calls tell her hang on, take her call after 30 mins if u have to or if she hasnt hung up and say sorry (friends name has to be gurl) called.

Poor Guy! Tell her to leave you alone. Sometimes it's almost impossible to "be friends" after a relationship. She is not letting you heal and be able to grow and perhaps find someone else.

if you want to really move on change your number and don't answer the door!! she is loving it i can tell you that much she probably like the fact that you are hurting so much over her!! so just stay away from her for a while give yourself time to heal :)

Stop talking to her...anyway and anyhow you can...
She is probably regretting her decision and wants to go back with you...but still...she cheated on you and i dont think it's a good idea to date her again... (it's up to you tho)

Stop picking up her phone calls, block her email and do whatever you can to stay away from this girl...she is NOT good!
