It sounds like a pinched nerve.You should see your dr.immediately.Try sitting on a chair and with your left hand grip around the seat area,then pull with your neck muscles to the right. This helps sometimes to pull out a pinched nerve if it is in the neck.

Lookslike nech problem. The nerves to the hand come from the neck. My mom has calcification in her vertibrate, the necj area. Her hands get numb in the morning and her shoulders, upper back and neck all hurt like hell.

It sounds like a bulging disc in the cervical vertebrae. That's usually the cause if it is limited to one arm or the other.
