yes, china and russia really lack some social, political, military, and economic capabilities to become superpowers. Maybe they will in the future but not at this moment. Oh, and there's no thing as an "Islam alliance". That's just press argot for creating fear. Actually Islam is divided through ethnic and confessional conflict. For one part, iranians and arabs are really rivals, also afghans, pachtuns, etc. In the other the different branches of the islam are differentiated by an interpretation of secular authority that makes them unable to forge an alliance. Thus there are conflicts between chiites and sunites. Indeed iraq is an example of both things. Kurds are trying to secede from their Arab neighbors and form a nation (that may include causing national liberation movements in Iran and Turkey), arab sunites (with the support from SaudiArabia, Jordania, not military support both political support) and arab chiites supported by Iran and Syria.

China has been a superpower for 5 decades, they just have no interest in flexing their muscles.
Russia is done for, India wants to join the club but won't be for some time because just like Russia it suffers from horrendous poverty. There is no cohesive Islamic alliance, Islam consists of not just many sects, but many ethnic groups as well.

There is no such thing as a super power. We are simply the most powerful nation on earth. There is nothing super about that. It is because our economy is so large and our people so productive that we have the extra wealth necessary to equip and arm the most effective military force on earth.
If China, Russia, Europe and the Islamic countries all united along with all the South American countries and Canada attacked us they would lose. Not that, that is every likely to happen. The only time we get into trouble is when we try to build other nations, or help them govern themselves. That is a mistake. We should defeat our enemies and leave them to work out their own path back out of the stone age.

Russia's in economic turmoil, and in the process of disassembling their nuclear weapons (not all, but most).
The "Islamic Alliance" doesn't have nuclear weapons, let alone a delivery system. (Obviously, Pakistan doesn't count.)
China is the only one that comes close, but it will be awhile before they are on par with the US militarily (technology wise, I know they have 300 million soldiers, or something like that)
So, yes, for right now, the U.S. is the only superpower.

Russia is a new and old superpower. China and India seem to want to become superpowers. To what extent China has nuclear capabilities remains to be seen, though I know that uranium is harvested out of mines in Canada and sold to China so that they can replenish their supply for nuclear reactors. They are planning a mine in my local area. It triples the rate of cancer. When that happens, I will pack up and move somewhere else, even if the winters are colder.
